1. The Malecon Boardwalk
📍 Downtown
A walk along the Malecon will allow you to discover Vallarta’s greatest hits. Sculptures, street art, ocean views and at least one guy in a sombrero offering you a tequila shot at 11 a.m.
Pro tip: Take your photos during golden hour for soft light and fewer shirtless tourists in the background. Smile. Keep walking. Drink “Agua de Tuba”
2. Los Muertos Pier
📍 Romantic Zone
You’ve probably seen this pier before. It’s beautiful at sunset. Or sunrise. Or pretty much anytime you’re not dodging kids throwing sand. If you time it right, you might catch a local fisherman making you realize that the seafood served in PV is as fresh as it can get.
3. The Umbrella Alley
📍 Iturbide Street, Downtown
Hanging umbrellas over a narrow walkway, it’s simple, colorful, and strangely satisfying. Just be aware: if you show up at noon, you’ll be sharing the space with everyone and their cousin taking selfies. Show up early, get your shot, and move on like a professional.
4. Mar y Vino
📍 Romantic Zone
The view from up here? Next level. More than just a great place to eat, Mar y Vino is a spot where the architecture and atmosphere do half the work for your camera. This spot strikes the perfect balance between elegance and tropical charm.
This is not a paid mention, here in our offices we truly believe that this is one of the most photogenic spots in the entire Romantic Zone.
5. Colomitos Beach
📍 Access from Boca de Tomatlán
A tiny beach you can only reach by a small hike or taking a boat. It’s surrounded by jungle, turquoise water, and just enough cell signal to brag on Instagram before going offline. If Vallarta had a postcard cover, this would be it.
Reminder: Nature doesn’t come with air-conditioning. Bring water and maybe a towel you don’t mind losing.
